Description of Content: Cynthia’s Dream is an inspirational/religious title that uses fiction to frame the Biblically moral life in a context that is contemporary and easy for any reader from early adolescent to senior citizen to both learn from, and enjoy as they would any work of dramatic fiction.

Based on the fictional life of Cynthia Wilson, Cynthia’s Dream is the story of an early adolescent in the turmoil of a family torn apart by an unusual and benevolent jealousy that places Cynthia center stage between a doting father and a self-absorbed mother. Her father, Thomas Wilson, in an unusual twist, falls into a coma that leaves Cynthia as a ward of an unloving mother. Cynthia searches for meaning to life by recalling stories taught by her dad from her early childhood. These stories and life lessons are all she has of her father to cling to. They lead young Cynthia Wilson on a detective-like hunt to discover why God has imprisoned her in this life. Along the way to those discoveries, the reader learns, along with Cynthia, the truth about his or her own motivations juxtaposed to the will of God in their own life.

The story spans a decade of Cynthia’s life and introduces a myriad of characters and situations that all Christian, and Christian wannabes face. This novel provides compelling clarifications to long held myths on vanity, eternal life, sex, pride, incest, stewardship, jealousy, and many other topics that have not been adequately dealt with in the lay Christian press. Tremendous in scope, Cynthia’s Dream is a powerful volume capable of altering the course of a life gone, or going astray.
