About Us

Morning Prayer Publishing is a wholly owned subsidiary of Creative Computer Specialist (CCS) which was founded in 1984. Morning Prayer Publishing is the result of side-stepping the existing publishing establishment. My name is Mike Way. My first book, Cynthia’s Dream was received favorably by a dozen agents and established publishing houses but was told that new authors, especially in the area of Christian fiction, do not sell.

Having a long history of free-lance writing, I decided to self-publish.  I soon discovered the literary waters filled with so-called aids to self publishers. I discovered that while a few of these companies were great, most are valely disguised vanity publishers.

I was told by experts that I would need a distributor, to become part of a house list, or that I would need to sign agreements that are little less complicated than a SALT treaty. Stumped, I prayed – I believe in prayer. God instructed me to go into uncharted waters dependent upon only Him to provide the new company’s resources. Believe me, He did!

We haven’t worked out all the bugs yet but we’re utilizing innovative guerilla marketing techniques to affordably get our books into your hands in the most painless and speedy way possible.
