Enter Morning Prayer Publishing. Like all writers, I submitted my work to both the New York and Hollywood literary as well as film communities, only be rejected simply because I was the new kid on the block. I was told over and over again that if I could develop an association with an established entity, I’d be welcomed to the "club". I kept hearing, "you need a show-runner - someone with a name."

At first, that’s exactly what I pursued… that is until I realized that I was losing me, my morality, my sense of what was right choosing instead, to pursue what was legal without ever bothering to ask myself if it was ethical. I could have lost my soul in pursuit of my dreams. After a quick visit to the woodshed with Christ the Savior, I emerged with a renewed understanding of His gifts and how He wanted me to use them.

I was shocked. I thought He’d want me to do more of the same religious work but He chided me to use my particular gifts to show the softer, more endearing approach. And that is Morning Prayer’s mission, to provide quality media that reflect values in lieu of sales. God has promised me that MPP will grow from amongst the rank-in-file who hunger the good.

Don’t be confused; we won’t be publishing "fluff, or 'goodie-goodie-two-shoes' work. We’ll tackle the tough issues but we’ll add a liberal dose of morally centered panache to our stories.

We're small, hands-on, and dedicated to the truth of God applied in everyday life. Just as there's mathematics, there's applied mathematics. Just as there's physics, there's applied physics. At Morning Prayer Publishing, our goal is to produce quality lay books, film, and art that slice through religiosity in an effort to reach the heart of man with God's applied love.
