My name is Mike Way. I am the writer,
director and producer for the timely romantic drama titled;
Morning Prayer Over
Chesapeake - A Love Story
(synopsis).
Since I began this film project many of my friends and family
have asked; "how can we help?" Many of you have sent in
donations for as little as a dollar and as much as a thousand.
Every penny has been appreciated and put to good use. Lately, I
suppose through word-of-mouth, I've received many emails
from friends of friends who've asked how can they donate and
help. This page is a central gathering place for those who want
to be part of this wonderful film project.
Here's what you can do if you feel
compelled: Click on the piggy bank to contribute any amount in
increments of $10. When you go the remittance page, simply enter
the number you wish to multiply by $10 and press the recalculate
button. The gold coin will allow you to contribute in
multiples of $25. You may use any combination of piggys and
coins to enter the amount you wish to contribute. To thank you
for you gift, you'll receive an appreciation note and the film's
official coffee mug or T-shirt as our way of showing our
gratitude for your support. And for your safety and
security, PayPal is
accepted.
One of my former co-worker's 15
year-old son sent me an email asking how he could help. His contribution is
greatly appreciated. Many cousins and good friends have also sent
money and miscellaneous gifts that have all gone to bring us to
the point where we can begin principal photography early next
year.
Again, we thank those who've already helped us and appreciate all you've done to spread the word about
our movie project. We expect to complete filming in 2005 and are
looking for a 2005 release date.
