Please Read Carefully Before Applying

Hello;

My name is Mike Way. I am the writer, director and producer for the timely romantic drama already in production, titled; Morning Prayer Over Chesapeake - A Love Story (synopsis)

Our film has, due to no fault by anyone, lost its top two stars to logistical snafus. One was offered an fabulous opportunity to move to LA to further a budding career while the other has been requested to perform at the prestigious 2005 Edinburgh International Festival during our production schedule.

We are currently seeking actors with the chops to step into a demanding role that will be sure take a career to the next level.  This is a non-union  gig but is seriously, an opportunity of a lifetime for the right actor/actress. Your name could be one to replace the names on the poster to the right; Your face will replace a face on the strip to the right.

Additionally, filming will require the selected actor(s) to be available 2~3 days (morning or afternoons) a week and several Saturdays or Sundays for the duration of the principal photography.  Most of the venues are in Baltimore, Washington DC, and Anne Arundel County.  There is one all day shoot in Calvert County. With generous weather and timely cooperation, we should wrap by mid-summer.

You will lead a fabulous supporting cast; the job of moving the story forward will rest on your shoulders.

IMPORTANT: This is a romantic drama/comedy. There are no explicit love scenes, no sex, and minimal kissing, but intimacy is implied.  The two leads should be able to comfortably convince the audience that they are in fact, falling in love.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:

Starring in Ensemble

Chris:  Just Open - SWM, 28 ~ 35. Acquisitions editor for a university publisher. College room-mate of Morrie and best friend. Chris is handsome and somewhat carefree. He’s very methodical and is a social narcissist.  (One scene takes place aboard a 42ft sailboat. Nothing dangerous but must NOT be afraid to sail)

 Megan/Sara: Just Open - SWF or SHF, 24 ~ 30. Advertising exec. Extraordinarily beautiful with a ‘tomboy’ air about her. She’s feminine yet independent. Lives in the shadows of the high morals imparted to her by her living parents. (One scene takes place aboard a 42ft sailboat. Nothing dangerous but must NOT be afraid to sail)

 Adriana: Already Cast - Awarded to Kristine Kelly
SWF, 25 ~ 33. Freelance fashion photographer to top magazines. Engaged to Chris. More sophisticated than Megan;  pretty but sensual. Exudes life and trust in her friends. Sister committed suicide after divorce. This event created an unreasonable fear of a failed relationship

 Morrie: Already Cast - Awarded to Jose de la Mar Uni-Race, 28 ~ 35. Morrie in an ethnic compendium. He appears to be white, black, Hispanic, Arab, Jewish, and uses his striking mono-ethnicity to transcend many scenarios. He is wise, old-fashioned in his morals and is Chris’ best friend since college.

Headshots are required. Your resume is important but I believe “chops” show up at the audition and not on the resume.  Do not simply discount yourself because this is a starring role. You may have that 'something special' we’re looking for.  Click here to email your rez and headshot.

Best Regards and God Bless You,

PS. After the film's completion, a very special cast party will be held at an incredible restaurant on the Chesapeake Bay.
